The program of the ninth edition of BEYOND MEDIA has grown to include a series of occasions for exploring specific topics and for meeting a large public.

• the VIDEO contest, with the screening of 80 works of communication of architecture through videos, selected internationally out of over 600 submissions, and evaluated on the basis of their ability to show the most significant aspects of contemporary research in architecture;

• a SYMPOSIUM on the theme “VISIONS”, during which architects, graphic designers, communication experts, advertising writers, film makers will take part in a debate that will also involve scientists, visionaries, theologians, politicians, economists and will lead the public through the exploration of new, manifold points of connection between architecture and the media;

• a series of thematic TALKS, conceived as occasions for reflecting upon topics which are close to the theme “VISIONS”, will see the participation of well-established professionals, young architects, IT experimenters, protagonists in the field of communication, testimonials, inside a particular multimedia setting;

• the third edition of the SPOT ON SCHOOLS exhibition will offer a fresh outlook on the productions of the 20 of most prestigious architecture schools in the world. It will focus on the most recent developments, in the field of education, of the use of digital technologies for design research;

• the exhibition on projects of urban transformation, URBAN VISIONS, a new and important investigation of the strategies and of the forms of communication adopted by 10 metropoles in the world. World cases will be explored which stand out not only for their architectural qualities, but also for the effectivenes and the pertinence of the forms of communication that have been used in order to present them to their audiences;

PRIME VISIONS, 2 workshops which introduce children to architecture and geometry;

• additionally, a series of SPECIAL EVENTS will be dedicated to the relations between architecture, publishing, advertisement, graphic design, music.
